Being Green with Denim Blue Jeans

“Denim is one of the world’s oldest fabrics, yet it remains eternally young.” This declaration by a writer for American Fabrics magazine back in 1969 is still true today. Denim is universal and although styles may change through the years, we all have a pair of our favorite old jeans that fit just right.

In our office, as most typical American office settings, there is a term known as “Casual Friday”. Planet Green has nothing against Aloha shirts but we’re jeans people. And since we’re always coming up ways we can reuse old materials to create something new, naturally wondered about all the fun things we could do with an old pair of jeans that lived a long and happy life but are ready for greener pastures.

In our important research for ideas, we found PLENTY of “interesting” and creative ways to reuse jeans. Some were slightly disturbing while others gave us a good laugh. In honor Casual Friday, we had to share a few of our favorites…
