I loved the variation in color of the old clothespins and thought they would make a pretty starburst wall hanging.
I began by hot gluing 12 of the clothespins on a round piece of wood I had in my garage.
I then glued a second circle of clothespins in the spaces between the first circle.
I finished the starburst with one last circle of clothespins that fit snugly in the spaces between the first and second circles.
I roamed around my garage looking for something that could be added to the middle of the starburst (and yes, my garage is that full of stuff) and I came across a doorknob and doorknob collar that were a good fit. I used E-6000 glue to adhere these to the clothespin starburst.
I then glued a hanger on the back and hung it in my bedroom.
The doorknob makes this a useful piece. I can add a hanger….
hang some scarves,
or store some necklaces.
